I'm a fan of director Terry Gilliam and it seems that The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018) is something of a passion project that was long in the making. For me, it did not live up to its promise. There are some great set pieces and visual images throughout the film, but its ramshackle approach to story telling leaves much to be desired. Adam Driver is the stand in for the director, Toby, and Jonathan Pryce is Don Quixote. I don't think it stands up well when compared to Gilliam's best such as Brazil and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.
