It is time for the annual Asagaya Tanabata Festival. Tanabata is a festival that celebrates the yearly meeting of two stars known in folk tales as Orihime and Hikoboshi. Shops on Pearl Street covered shopping street make paper mache figures and hang then from the roof and food, drink, and game stalls are set up on the sides for festival goers.
One of my favorites.
