Lion

I had not heard anything about Lion (2016) the true life story of a man who got lost as a child in India and ends up being adopted by a family from Australia. The man grows up and tries to find his birth mother and family as an adult using Google Maps and the internet to do so. The adult man is played by Dev Patel but the first act of the film belongs to a charismatic child actor. A surprisingly powerful feel-good film from out of left field for me.
