I found out about The Nostalgic Cafe from a friend and it is a cool place-bright with large windows, spacious tables, high ceilings, and a NY deli-influenced menu. I went with a meatball sandwich with black chili sauce (¥1000). It came on a freshly baked roll and was garnished with coleslaw and a pickle-delicious. I'd like to come back for the Reuben sandwich sometime as well. They have a variety of freshly baked goods as well. The only drawback is the location, it's in a dead zone in between Koenji and Nakano-a bit of a walk from either station.
