I saw that the LA based gourmet burger company The Counter opened a branch in Roppongi Hills, so I decided to stop by to try it out.
I went with a 6oz Angus beef burger for ¥1290 on a Biroche bun with bacon (¥100 extra), Jalapeno Jack, red onions, pickles, lettuce and tomato and House Mustard. I was surprised you coudln't choose how you wanted it cooked. It was a tasty burger, but the bun disintegrated in the grease.
I really wanted to try the chili from the starter menu as well, and even though I skipped lunch, I almost couldn't finish the Loaded Tots (¥900) with pimento cheese, bacon, scallions, and a side of buttermilk ranch dressing. Certainly an elite shop, but doesn't crack my top 5.
