Over the weekend I attended the Sri Lanka Festival at the Yoyogi Park. While doing research for my aborted trip to Sri Lanka I read about hoppers, a kind of Sri Lankan pancake. Above is the egg hopper which also had a side of mildly spicy pickled onions. I'm still smarting a bit from canceling my trip to Sri Lanka last winter break due to arriving too late to take my assigned flight. But I still would like to visit the country some day, perhaps as a side trip after a teaching conference in Nepal in February that I am considering in 2018.
