For the last weekend of September, I went on a boys trip to Onjuku, Chiba with some friends from Tokyo. Out first stop was dinner at Tsukiji, a seafood restaurant. Sashimi and shochu.
Dave and guitars in the Dharma Cafe.
Jeff, Gary, and Andrew.

"Clutch" and Andrew rockin' out.
Out hotel, the Sayan Terrace.
The beach from the hotel.
Fufgu on a wall.
There's a strong connection between Onjuku and Mexico since residents of the town saved some shipwrecked Mexicans in the 17th century and there's a museum and monument devoted to the incident.
Koi in the stream that feeds into the ocean.
Statues on the main beach near the center of town.

A statue of the Ama female divers of Onjuku at the station.
A giant sea turtle in the city museum.
A portable shrine in the museum.
The new violin museum-a private collection of violin playing miniatures...no really.
A homemade lamp, made out of a Heartland beer bottle, outside a liquor store.
Fishing boats gearing up for a night on the ocean.
A monument to the shipwrecked Mexican sailors.
