What We Do In Shadows (2015) is a wildly entertaining New Zealand vampire mocumentary directed and starring Jemaine Clement (of HBO's Flight of the Conchords fame) and Taiki Waititi. The films shows ancient European vampires living together in a share house in Wellington, New Zealand. Clement plays Vladislav, an idiot playboy modeled on the the Francis Ford Coppola Bram Stoker's Dracula. While Waiti, who steals the show, plays the 379 year old Viago, an English dandy. It plays like an undead Real World with the room mate bickering over chores, Deacon (Joanthon Brugh), at 183 is "the young bad boy of the group," hasn't done the dishes in five years! As well as nights of dressing up and going to the disco. The fourth roommate is the Max Schreck (inspired from F.M. Munrau's Nosferatu). It's one of the best comedies I've seen in years. If you only see one New Zealand vampire mocumentary this year-this should be it.
