I finally visited the closest ramen shop in my neighborhood and it turns out that it is a really delicious one. Every seat filled at 3 pm on a Sunday, I got the spicy version chock full of garlic, spring onions, wakame, bean sprouts, chyashu pork and steaming noodles.

Yum. Always got room for ramen. Can't seem to go past the negi-miso ramen each time I go to a ramen-ya though.
I've had spicy & oily ramens in recent years, but I suspect they were not tan tan men as such. I may have had true tan tan men many years ago, and if so then it might not have captured my imagination at that time. Time to revisit it I think, if I can resist the temptation to order negi-miso ramen that is!

Edward, miso ramen is still my favorite along with tan tan men. Have you had tan tan men before?
