Shingo in traditional garb and Buddhist flowers.
Wedding procession to Son Phao, Shingo's restaurant where the ceremony took place.
Part of the ceremony involves the groom asking for entry into the dwelling to marry the bride, but is rebuffed by members of her party and denied entry until he makes a money offering. This was repeated twice; at the entrance and at the stair case.
The marriage ceremony itself was quite involved and has many symbolic moments including feeding each other rice and drinking a shot of Lao whisky among others.
The master of ceremonies.
Another ritual involved tying money offerings to the wrists of the couple.
