The Debt (2011) directed by John Madden (mostly known for Shakespeare In Love) was the only film worthy of mentioning that I saw on the flight back to Japan. It was a well made thriller that was essentially two stories in one. The first story was the botched attempt to bring a Nazi war crimes criminal back to Israel to answer for his crimes. The second story is how the members of the Mossad team try ot deal with the repercussions of their failure. There are different actors cast for the younger versions and the older versions-all well acted with appropriate period details. The actors include perennial favorites such as Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson, Sam and Worthington. All the younger versions of the actors were unknown to me, but quite capable in their roles. It was a well made thriller and somewhat of a sleeper, since I had never heard of it before the flight.
