I was curious to see what extras Criterion added to Wes Anderson's film The Royal Tenenbaums. It's probably my third favorite Anderson film after Rushmore and Fantastic Mr. Fox. There's commentary by Anderson, video interviews with all the principal actors, a version of The Peter Bradley Show with additional bit players from the film, features based on the art used in the film especially by Anderson's brother Eric whose work figured prominently in the film. I realize that Gene Hackman's performance is what really holds the film together, but Luke Wilson has a great sequence, and I really enjoyed the performance of the kids playing Ben Stiller's children. It's an enjoyable film, but not essential in my mind.
