I was in Nagoya for the 2010 Japanese Association of Language Teachers Annual Conference. This is outside of Nagoya station. It is the 4th largest city in Tokyo, and headquarters for Toyota, and I've only passed through it before.
Big city.
Nice contrast in the Nagoya skyline.
From the platform for the shinkansen, a beautiful sunny autumn afternoon.
I spent a couple of nights there when I worked for Toyota (~maybe 2008). I watched baseball at the Nagoya dome. I tried to go in with an open mind but found it less than inspiring. We didn't stay until the end, which was fine as it was the food and drink that I was lookig forward to.

Well, I imagine baseball's a bit like cricket that way. When I go to baseball games I like to drink beer and eat peanuts and soak up the atmosphere.
By the way, the Dragons won the Japanese World Series this year and they had a victory parade for the team the Saturday morning I was there.
