I tried Takoyaki once and I have been tring to find them on a menu ever since, with no luck. I did some research for recipes, but I haven't had the confidence to attempt that dish yet. I am jealous that you (can) have those on a regular basis. The pancake thing in the photo looks good too, and everything seems just right with a giant beer in your hand.

Hmm I never noticed if they serve these dishes in the US, but as you say everything tastes better with a giant beer in hand. me was here recently and he said he tired 100 things he never had before and he loved 99. When are you coming Ray?
