Shanti is a fairly new Indian restaraunt in Otsuka that I occasionally frequent, since this is where my gym (Gold's Gym North) is located. It has a nice bright atmosphere and reasonable lunch set specials under ¥1000. The curry of the day was a tasty fusion mix of chicken and daikon (Japanese radish)-see below.

Where's this place? I work in Otsuka. There's an Indian place just off the Arakawa-sen tracks (kind of across the street from the Gold's Gym and near Saizeriya) that isn't too bad.

Captain, this is on the street that forks off from Kasuga-dori from the Shin-Otsuka Subway station and goes under the JR train tracks (I don't know the name) It's on the left side headed north halfway to the JR Station? Sorry I don't have the card and I couldn't find an internet link.

I think I know where you mean. Up the street from Tully's? I'll check out one of these days. Thank you.

I've been going twice a week for a while now. Thanks for the tip!

Glad to be of service. Also, up the road on the other side of the street from Shanti in a wood cabin-like shop is a really cool ramen place with a long fish tank along the back wall. Good food, nice atmosphere.
