Everything All The Time is my favorite record of the moment and was recommended here by "Phatrick." It is amazing to me how Sub Pop continues to stay relevant putting out great records like this, The Shins, The Postal Service, Iron & Wine, etc...Also, I read a stellar reveiw about this album on Pitchfork.com earlier this year as well. Since this is a Seattle band I took the plunge. I really dig it-it is qunitssential indie rock with nods to alt country, but with heavy fuzzy guitars-there have been comparisons to Niel Young-I don't hear it, but I' not a huge Niel Young fan. People have also compared them to My Morning Jacket, but I haven't heard them yet, so I can't comment on that. The lead singer, Ben Bridwell, reminds me of someone? (How about some help here?)...Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie? I guess this band was formed from the wreckage of Carissa's Wierd, which I seem to remember had some sort of indie hit in the 90s. My favorite tracks are "Our Swords", "Weed Party", "Monsters", and "The Great Salt Lake." It has been getting a lot of play lately on my iPod.
