I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Transamerica. Felicity Huffman was great, and it’s an unlikely story that really seems to come together emotionally in the end. I guess it’s about people trying to live as best they can despite whatever shortcomings or difficulties they have. I didn’t know much about it, just that Felicity Huffman was nominated for Best Actress for her performance, but it goes beyond her performance—it’s an entertaining and essentially uplifting story, although not a traditional one and perhaps a little unsavory, but it ends on an uplifting note as it were a feel good movie.
