I took this picture as I was leaving the Hakusan campus late Tuesday night after our annual "kangekai" (welcome) party for the Law Department. Unfortunately, this year it wasn't held at Chinsanso (the Four Seasons Hotel) in Mejiro, it was on campus in the Sky Hall. Incidentally, at the party my boss introduced me to a well-known and tasty nihonshu (sake) from Niigata: Kubota.
