I didn't have time for many exhibits, but I was intrigued by the Robert Mapplethorpe and the Classical Tradition exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum-itself an interesting piece of artwork. It juxtaposed traditional mannerist prints with Mapplethorpe's impressive black and white sculpture-esque pictorial nudes. It was impressive and not overwhelming; I just couldn't do a major collection that afternoon. I walked back from midtown that day, which was also quite entertaining in itself.
