I was inspired by this post to try this new KFC Japanese style chicken from a referrer I've been noticing recently in my stats (a fellow foodie, albeit one that cooks). I've probably been to KFC once in the last 5 years and had a chicken wrap. I have to say that the sesame taste with mild spiciness of the Japnese sanshou spice tempered with soy sauce was nice, but my problem with KFC has always been that it seems like the chicken has been sitting around all day under a heat lamp, the batter it self was bland and the meat tasted a bit gamy. I suppose it would be easier to judge had it come straight from the fryer, but that, unfortunately, wasn't the case. I won't be going back again for a long time.
