I recently finished watching 24 Season 3. I have to say that I continued to be impressed by the writing, acting, and production values of this exciting and addictive series. It’s amazing that they can plot out enough story lines to flesh out a 24-hour season, and have each episode still have a resolution, while other storylines continue throughout the duration of the series. And what a lucky break for Keifer Sutherland, who I see now is being credited as an executive producer of the series, to land the plum role of Jack Bauer. Jack Bauer-a modern day super hero-plays by his own rules and is rarely wrong (if so her never regrets his actions), at his best in impossible situations, tough as nails, a crack shot, and completely fearless. I guess some of the action in the series is repetitive-technical problems that slow down the investigations, CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) relies so much on technology and information-which actually seems realistic, but manipulating this for the series to create tense situations tends to get over done. But all in all, 24 is quite compelling and entertaining, there was no drop off in either Series 2 or 3.

Aleen and I just finished season 2 a week or two ago. We call '24' tv's equivalent of crack. Glad (I think) to learn that season 3 doesn't drop off. We've come up w/ Jack Bauer catch phrases to use at opportune times:
"I can't tell you right now, you just have to trust me!", "I'm sorry, but you just have to trust me!", "Please, you have to help me. You just have to trust me! PLEASE!".
Also, I just watched Sid and Nancy and was amused to see that Xander Berkeley, who does an impressive job as George Mason in 24, plays Sid and Nancy's drug dealer.

I got hooked on the DVDs and watched the second season last year in probably about 24 hours. I couldn't stop putting the discs in. I liked it, but near the end I was wishing it was called "18". I've been trying to avoid a relapse into season 3.

I agree with Oz, 24 is "TV's equivalent of crack." I'll stay up till 1 am on a school night to get to the next episode, just to see if we can really trust Jack after he has pulled another cowboy stunt. Plenty of that in Season 3,"I'm sorry you'll just have to trust me."
Cool-George Mason was in Sid & Nancy.
