Previously I posted about the series of articles describing sexless marriages. The media is seemingly always writing about sex, if not the lack of it, then the overabundance of it. The Mainichi Daily News has a regular colum called Wai Wai (which means something like "making a lot of excitement" in English I guess) and a writer regularly translates articles from magazines like Spa!,-which are rougly the Japanese equivilent of The National Enquirer. So there are usually stroies abotu sex and whatnot. I remember one from a few years back about suburban taxi dirver house wives who supposedly were turnning tricks for extra money. Now we have students and travelers turning tricks in America and Bangkok for extra cash. I am a bit skeptical about how widespread this is and wonder about the dubious sources referred to in the article.
