I was feeling a bit tired and lazy and opted to try find a fine dining option near the hotel rather than do a destination dinner. (It had also been raining intermittently) So that's how I ended up at Tecuba Cafe. It had an impressive atmosphere, see photo above.
I was having a hard time deciding what to eat, having trouble with large portions these days, so decided to go with a couple of appetizer-like foods. The first was a Queso con rajas tamale (cheese and red pepper tamale) washed down with Montejo beer, my first time drinking this.
Guacamole con topos (gaucamole and tortilla chips).
More random shots from the Centro Historico district after dinner.
Another new beer Victoria (brewed by Modelo) with pickled jalapenos and carrots and limes at an outdoor cafe.
