2006 Kamakura Beach Party: Belly Dancing
Yesterday I attended the annual Kamakura Charity Beach Party, where proceeds go to the Christina Noble Foundation to build schools for the homeless children in Vietnam and Mongolia. There were a couple of live bands, DJs, and some impressive belly dancing. Here area few photos of the talented belly dancers:

Interesting. I thought belly dancers were supposed to have hips and a little tummy. Oh well. At least they're hot!

I guess you've been in the Middle East too long already, I like 'em like this ;)

I've heard that you don't need a big belly for belly dancing - although it helps not to be a rake. My friend's wife learnt and she was similar in build to these girls.
And thanks Pat - I'm quite a fan of the belly. A Shibuya girl would have been a cultural offering too though (not just one for the peanut gallery as you put it). They're quite a sight! I wonder whether you've posted previously on the Yoyogi Park entrance crowd - they're not exactly camera shy, and offer another glimpse into one of Japan's weirder sub cultures - although to be honest I saw a Western girl wearing similar 'Little Bo-Peep' style clothes just last weekend - I wonder if this was Japan inspired.
